About Us

Princeton FinTech was founded in Fall 2016 by a group of students interested in gaining exposure to the FinTech industry. A rapidly growing and evolving industry, companies in the FinTech space seek to disrupt traditional financial institutions by bringing the innovative approach of Silicon Valley. From banking and personal finance to payment platforms and cryptocurrencies, FinTech is a highly heterogeneous space that has only begun to scratch the surface of what's possible.

Princeton FinTech was founded with the intention that we would expose members to the FinTech industry not only by exposing them to people involved in the industry, but through projects, including data exploration and statistical modeling, mobile and web-based FinTech applications, as well as projects with industry partners. This is a departure from how other clubs oriented around the financial industry have operated, but is one that we feel will provide more value for students. There's no better way to learn about a sector than to dive right in and get one's hands dirty, and this is what we hope to cultivate.
